Jim spent his summers at Charles L. Sommers Wilderness Canoe Base, Ely, Minnesota, from 1968-1970. The painted paddle was his 1968 paddle with the painting done by a guide, Roy Cerny. The beaver-tail paddle was the 1970 paddle Jim used while working as a guide himself. | ||||
